Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out what you may and may not do with Valid Email Verifier (the "Service"), provided by [Legal Entity] ("ASTGD", "we", "us"). It forms part of the Terms of Service. The Service exists to tell you which addresses on a list you already have are deliverable. It is not a way to find, collect or build lists of addresses, and it is not a way to send email.

1. The lists you upload

You may only upload addresses you have a lawful basis to process. In practice that means addresses of people who gave them to you — customers, subscribers, contacts who opted in — or addresses you are otherwise entitled to hold under the law that applies to you (for example GDPR, UK GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CASL or PECR). You must not upload:

• lists that were bought, rented, scraped, harvested or otherwise obtained without the consent of the people on them;
• lists generated by guessing, permuting or dictionary-building addresses at a domain;
• addresses you have been asked to stop contacting, or that have unsubscribed from you.

2. No sending

The Service never delivers a message to the addresses you upload, and you must not use the Service, its results or its infrastructure to send email of any kind. Verification results may be used to clean a list you send to with your own tools; they may not be used to construct a list to send to for the first time.

3. No spam or abuse

You must not use the Service in connection with unsolicited bulk email, phishing, fraud, harassment, malware distribution, or any message that is unlawful where it is sent or received. We may refuse, suspend or close an account that we reasonably believe is being used for any of these, with or without notice.

4. Fair use of the checking infrastructure

Checking an address means asking its mail provider a question, using our own servers and reputation. To keep that reputation good for every customer you must not:

• attempt to bypass rate limits, pacing or job size limits, or run the same list repeatedly to probe a provider;
• resell, sublicense or provide the Service to third parties, or operate it on behalf of others, without a written agreement with us;
• interfere with, reverse engineer, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service.

5. Your account

You are responsible for everything done under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. If you believe your account has been used by someone else, tell us immediately.

6. What happens if this policy is breached

We may suspend or terminate access, cancel jobs in progress, and — where a breach involves lists obtained without consent or use in connection with spam — forfeit unused credits without refund. Where the law requires it we may also report abuse to the relevant authorities or providers.

7. Reporting abuse

If you believe the Service is being misused, write to info@astgd.com. We take every report seriously and will respond.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept it.
